Stanley "Stan" Darrel Wiegers

Stanley Darrel Wiegers, age 81, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society - Comforcare. Stan was born on September 17, 1943, in Clarkfield, Minnesota, to Karl and Della (Marquardt) Wiegers. He graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1961. Following graduation, he entered the United States Navy Air Force and served our country honorably for two years followed by two years in the reserves. Stan attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis and graduated with a degree in accounting. He worked for a few years as an accountant before working for various car dealerships in Minneapolis. Stan was introduced to Lois Jean Cafourek, through mutual friends and the couple set off on a whirlwind of fun and adventure together. Stan and Lois were united in marriage on July 4, 1991, on their boat on Lake Minnetonka. Together they enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, jet skiing, Jeep rides, and traveling in their motorhome around Minnesota. Stan was a quiet, easygoing man who was very smart, informative, and organized. He was very particular about his yard, enjoyed having a few beers, and loved being with his family and friends. He was such a good man and will be forever missed.

Stan is survived by his wife, Lois “Loey”; sisters, Bev Loose, Donna (Denny) Olson, and Betty (Chris) Westre; nieces and nephews, Carla, Elaine, James (Tammy), Amy (Jim), Kim, and Ryan; many great-nieces and great-nephews; sisters-in-law, Donna Berry and Sherry (Allan) Lunt; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Della; and brothers-in-law, Gene Cafourek and Tootie Loose.

A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
