Shirley Bischoff

Shirley Marie Bischoff, age 83, of Austin, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Austin Medical Center. Shirley was born March 31, 1927 in Austin to Norman and Helen (Wheeler) Ofstedahl. On May 30, 1946 she was united in marriage to Ernest J. Bischoff. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1985. Shirley was a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She loved cooking, entertaining her friends, playing cards and going to the casino. Shirley also loved her granddogs, Snickers, Sadie, Rocky and Rudy. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda (Douglas) Robinson, Lake City, Brenda O'Connor, Rochester; sister, Norma Jean "Butch" (Sam) Farrand, Austin. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Ofstedahl, and son-in-law, Mike O'Connor. A visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home. There will be an Eagle's Auxiliary Ritual at 5 pm. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
