Sharon Louise Cline, age 76, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato, Minnesota. Sharon was born to Merlin and Norma (Swelland) Golberg on May 26, 1948, in Austin. She grew up on a farm near Corning, Minnesota. On August 24, 1969, Sharon married Lyle Cline in Spicer, Minnesota, and together they raised two children.
Sharon was a fixture at the Oak Leaf Restaurant, where she worked as a waitress for many years. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas with her husband, Lyle, and their close friends, always embracing the adventure. An avid fisherwoman, she held her own on the water, spending many summer days on family fishing trips up north, particularly at Island Lake near Northome, MN. Above all, Sharon’s greatest joy was her family; she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with love and laughter.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Lyle, of Austin; children, Tammy (Jim) Nelson of Austin, and Mike (Lisa) Cline of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Dan Rysavy, Emily (Trevor) Trocinski, Ann (Zack) Williams, Lanie Cline, and Lauren Cline; great grandchildren, Alec, Parker, Nadia, Maverick, and Emmy; and brother, Rodney (Laurie) Golberg of Owatonna, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and Norma Golberg; brother Wayne Golberg; parents-in-law Web and Estee Cline; and brother-in-law Chuck Cline.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Services are prearranged and performed by Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin.
