Ruth Przytarski

Ruth Lucretia Przytarski, 93, of Shakopee and formerly of Austin, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her residence in Shakopee. She was born in Cashton, WI on March 23, 1921 to Edward and Teresa (Bates) Quinn. She graduated high school and attended a couple of years of college before she married Daniel J. Przytarski on August 6, 1946 in Cashton, WI. Ruth was a very active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for several years. She cherished the friendships and memories of that time. Ruth enjoyed gardening, reading and loved nature. She will be truly missed as she was the heart and soul of her family. Ruth is survived by her sons, Roger (Kathy) Przytarski of Burnsville and David (Elizabeth) Przytarski of Burnsville; daughters, Nancy (Howard) Hornibrook of Plymouth, Jeanne (Brian) Blair of Northfield; twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Steve Gerlach of Mankato and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Przytarski of Apple Valley; a brother, Tom (Donna) Quinn of St. Cloud; sister-in-law Mary Quinn of Sparta, WI. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Daniel, son Phillip Przytarski and daughter Rita Gerlach. A Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Steffes officiating. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
