Roger Noble

Roger Arthur Noble, age 90, of Austin, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society. Roger was born October 22, 1921 in St. Ansgar, Iowa to Hannibal and Katherine (Rowland) Noble. He married Geraldine G. Allen at the Christ Episcopal Church in Austin. Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a farmer and a Hormel employee. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, the Moose, the V.F.W. and the Legion. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include three children, Larry Noble, Owatonna, Suzanne (Arthur) Erickson, Apple Valley, Sherry (Mike) Pepper, Austin; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Ross Noble, Austin, Barbara (Gary) Underland, Medford, Janet (Joe) Bjork, Embarrass, Judy (Robert) Beck, Albert Lea. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hannibal and Katherine Noble; wife, Geraldine; sisters, Virginia Tesch, Evelyn Deunow; brothers, Ronald Noble, Robert Noble. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Catherine Lemons officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #91. The casket bearers will be Chad Erickson, Bryan Trimble, Brad Trimble, Brandon Noble, Jon Noble, Darwin Noble.
