Richard Stivers

Richard Ben Stivers, age 83, of Austin, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his home. Richard was born May 1, 1926 in Albert Lea to Ben and Ann Merle Stivers. He was retired from the United States Navy and Stivers Nursery and Landscaping. Survivors include his sister, Betty (Herb) Eckhardt, Minnesota Lake; friends, Ron Mecklenburg and Sue Hodge, both of Austin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ann Merle Stivers. Richard had requested that no services be held. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society in his honor as he loved his pets. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
