Richard Fraser

Richard Stuart Fraser, age 68, of Austin, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Adams Healthcare Center. Richard was born October 12, 1942 in Austin to Kenneth and Marian (Laufle) Fraser. He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1960 and then attended Austin Community College and Austin Technical College. On January 20, 1973 he married Joyce at the United Lutheran Church in Frost, MN. Richard was in the U.S. Army. He worked as a custodian, and was a member of the American Legion Post #91 in Austin. Richard enjoyed playing cards and games with his family. He also loved music, books and astronomy. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Fraser, Austin; children, Alexander Richard Fraser, Minneapolis, Amanda Rachel Fraser, Hopland, CA; sisters, Mary (Terry) Arens, Austin, Jean Fraser, Austin; brother-in-law, Jim Hagelund, Austin; sisters-in-law, Hope (Gary) Fraser, Imperial Beach, CA, Kay (Larry) Lloyd, Frost, Bonnie (Duane) Gartzke, Blue Earth, Lois Willmert, Winnebago. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marian Fraser; sister, Joan Hagelund; brother, Gary Fraser; nephew, Gary Blanchfield; parents-in-law, Ronald and Gladys Willmert. The family will greet friends from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Mayer Funeral Home. Interment will be in United Lutheran Cemetery in Frost, Minnesota.
