Patricia Schaefer

Patricia Ann (Kamp) Schaefer, age 67, of Austin, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Pat was born February 23, 1945 in Austin, Minnesota to Vernon and Mildred Kamp. On February 24, 1968 she was united in marriage to Bernard Schaefer in Austin. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose. Survivors include her husband, Bernard Schaefer, Rochester, MN; siblings, Joyce (Cliff) Carlson, Minneapolis, MN, Jean Thompson, Forest City, IA, Marjorie Distad, Albert Lea, MN, Charles Kamp, Hooks, TX, Rita (Arnie) Earl, Austin, MN, Linda (Jerry) Meyer, Menomonie, WI, Karen (John) Torvik, Sioux Falls, SD, Deb (Leonard) Wood, Owatonna, MN, Thomas Kamp, Austin, MN, Keith Kamp, Austin, MN, Scott (Denise) Kamp, Austin, MN; sisters-in-law, Virginia, Jeri, and Mary Kamp, Helen Sershen; brothers-in-law, Sy and Wilfred Schaefer; nieces and nephews including a special niece, Nancy King; a special nephew, Mike Whalen. She is preceded in death by six brothers, Roger, Laverne, David, Douglas, Ricky, and Raymond; a sister, Joanne; parents, Vernon and Mildred Kamp; a very special aunt and uncle, Loraine and Nick Leachman. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor David Fleischmann officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The casket bearers will be Mike Whalen, Ted Schlichter, Nick Danley, Randy Sershen, Scott Kamp, and Bruce Kamp. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
