Patricia "Patti" Ann Hanson

Patricia (Patti) Ann Hanson, age 55, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2023, in Rochester MN, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted mom, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She was always thinking of everyone else first, even in the end. She was born on August 15, 1967, to Vernon and Barbara (Mullenbach) Tracy in Austin, MN. Patti grew up in Rose Creek, MN and graduated from Southland High School in 1985. She was married to Gary Hanson in 1987 and had two children, Zachary and Tracy, and they were later divorced. She loved spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends. Patti enjoyed going to Austin Bruins hockey games and was a billet mom, housing many different hockey players over the last 6 years. She worked as a home healthcare worker for over 20 years and was currently working at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin, MN. 

She is survived by her son, Zachary Hanson, Austin, MN; grandson, Bryce; granddaughters, Vienna and Savanna; daughter and son-in law, Tracy (Hanson) and Matthew Madsen, Blooming Prairie, MN; granddaughters, Ragen and Mackenzie; parents, Vernon and Barbara Tracy, Austin, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Cindy Tracy, Owatonna, MN; brother, Dean Tracy, Austin, MN; sister, Dianne Tracy, Rose Creek, MN; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Mark Hanson, Austin, MN; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by grandparents, aunts, uncles and many other family and friends who welcomed her home.
