Mayuleen "Maye" Malarme Benjamin

Mayuleen Malarme Benjamin, age 45, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Methodist Campus. Mayuleen was born January 7, 1980, in Micronesia, to Felix and Kesusa (Ardos) Koike. She spent her early years in Micronesia, where she attended school, eventually moving to Texas, then Iowa, and ultimately finding her home in Austin, Minnesota. Mayuleen worked for over 20 years caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, with the last 8 years spent at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin. In 2023, she married Wilmer Benjamin at St. Edward Catholic Church in Austin, where she was a member. Mayuleen was known for her love of watching television and her caring nature towards others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Wilmer; children, Timitry Benjamin (Kasey Chandy), Quincy Benjamin, and Skye Benjamin; brothers, Alter Koike and Alterson Koike; sisters, Senio Koike and Juleen (Jesse) Hadley; and nephews, Jonathan Cantero and Josiah Hadley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Kesusa Koike.

A funeral service for Mayuleen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin, with Father Thien Nguyen officiating. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
