Maverick Lawrence Delaney-Novitski

Maverick Lawrence Delaney-Novitski, age 2 months, of Owatonna, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Our precious little red-haired baby was born on January 6, 2024, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Brandi (Morse) Delaney and Kyle Novitski. Maverick loved cuddles, butt pats, baths, and playing with and sucking on his hands. He found comfort in the arms of his mom and dad. He enjoyed music therapy and having his sister, Areya, read the caterpillar book and sing to him. Maverick filled our lives with joy in his short time with us and will be loved and missed forever. 

Maverick is survived by his parents, Brandi and Kyle of Owatonna; sister, Areya Delaney of Owatonna; maternal grandpa, Jerry Morse of Austin; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Sherman of Blooming Prairie; paternal great-grandpa, William Sherman of Dexter; uncle, Scot Novitski of Austin; aunt, Rachel (Patrick) Dominguez of Austin; and cousins, Jameson, Pheobe, and Willow Dominguez of Austin. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Gwyn Morse; and paternal great-grandparents, David and Helga Grant. 

The memorial service for Maverick will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
