Martha Anne Hauschildt

Martha A. Hauschildt, age 48, of Austin, Minnesota, and formerly of Brownsdale, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at her home in Austin. Martha Anne was born on May 23, 1975, in Zumbrota, Minnesota to Norman and Jeanette (Post) Hauschildt. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1993. Following graduation, Martha attended Winona State University and earned her bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections. Martha worked as a transcriptionist for the Highway Patrol, and later she worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Mower County Sheriff’s Department from December 1999 until she medically retired in January 2017. Martha then began working at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin as an office assistant from 2018-2021. She loved socializing with people, music of ALL kinds, and every type of animal. Martha also enjoyed baking, making a mess in the kitchen, and hiking trails in nature and the Arizona desert with Jerry. She will be forever missed.

Martha is survived by her fiancé, Jerry Wiste; parents, Norman and Jeanette; and sister, Rothko “Sara” (Mathew Murphy) Hauschildt. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Normann and Louise Hauschildt, and Arnold and LaVarian Post.
