Marcella Otterbein

Marcella Delores Otterbein, age 69, of Austin, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her home. Marcy was born December 26, 1940 in Dodge Center, Minnesota. She was married to Robert Otterbein in Northwood, Iowa in 1958. Marcy grew up in the Southern Minnesota area. She also lived some time in California and Nebraska. Marcy was interested in her family who she loved dearly. She retired as a hairdresser. Survivors include her husband, Robert Otterbein; son, Todd Otterbein; daughter, Lorrie Sands and husband Mark; sister, Sharon Luben and husband Dan; brother, Sterling Boysen and wife Kathy; sister, Patricia Boysen; sister, LaVonne Boysen; brothers, Duane, Darrell and Thomas; special nephew, Benjamin Luben; grandson, Cory Sands. Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Boysen and Emma (Armbrust) Boysen; granddaughter, Sara Sands. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Crane Community Chapel with Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 pm on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
