Leslie "Les" Larson

Leslie Lars Larson, age 63, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his home in Albert Lea. Leslie was born on February 24, 1958, in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Lars and Helen (Hanson) Larson. He was raised in Austin, Minnesota and attended Austin Public Schools. Following high school he worked at Aegean Cheese in Austin and was a farmhand for various farms. Growing up he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his favorite uncles, George and Harry. Les loved his Diet Cokes and 3 Musketeers candy bars; he was always trying to share them with his sisters. He enjoyed spending his time eating pizza and watching crime shows with his friends and caregivers at REM Woodvale in Albert Lea. He was infamous for his “Hey-ho!” when greeting friends or needing help. Les will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Les is survived by his sisters, Darlene Nash and Mary Miller; uncle, Meritt Henry; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his friends and caregivers at REM Woodvale. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lars and Helen; brother, Paul; numerous aunts and uncles including his favorite uncles, George and Harry; and brother-in-law, Scott Nash.

In keeping with Les’ wishes there will be no services. Please honor him with a smile and happy memories. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
