Laura Judd

Laura Judd, 59, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born February 1, 1954 in Austin to Howard and Rita McDermott. She was married to Gerard Judd in 1973 and they raised five children. Laura was a homemaker and ran a day care from her home. She was also an entrepreneur who owned three video stores. Her accomplishments included a return to college to earn a degree in computer art and animation. Laura was preceded in death by her mother Rita McDermott and her daughter Vanessa Judd. She is survived by Gerard Judd, Sr., her loving husband of 39 years, her children: Felicia Drake (Angelus), Gerard Judd, Jr., Bryan Judd and Kendra Judd; father Howard McDermott, brother Rodney McDermott (Jean) and sister Anita McDermott, many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and family. A memorial service for Laura Judd will be held from 4:00 until 7:00p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin. Condolences may be left for the family at www.mayerfh.com
