Lana K. (Kaiserlik) Kruger, age 73, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie. Lana Kay Kaiserlik was born June 4, 1948, in Rochester Minnesota, to Russell and Opal (Mork) Kaiserlik. She grew up on the family farm in rural Kenyon and graduated in 1966 from Kenyon High School. On September 9, 1972, Lana married Keith Kruger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. They had 1 daughter, Nicole. She had a 32-year career as a directory assistance operator for Northwestern Bell in Owatonna and retired in 1998. Lana loved football, especially the Minnesota Vikings, and was an avid collector of Vikings memorabilia. Her favorite color was purple and she loved sparkles. As a devoted Vikings fan, her least favorite colors were green and yellow Packers colors. Lana also enjoyed singing, auto racing, collecting gazing balls and had a love for animals, cats, squirrels, and rabbits. At the age of 8, Lana developed a love for music, and it brought her much joy in life. Some of her favorite music artists were Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. Lana possessed a very caring and giving heart and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Kruger of Blooming Prairie, MN; daughter, Nicole Kruger of Blooming Prairie, MN; sister, Junell (John) Wiese of Lakeville, MN; sister-in-law, Hetty Kaiserlik of North Carolina; the family cats, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Opal Kaiserlik; and her brother, Joseph Kaiserlik.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church rural Austin, Minnesota. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
