Ladonna Hoffman

LaDonna G. Hoffman, 82, of Austin, Minnesota went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin. She was born January 5, 1931 in Rochester, Minnesota to Callan and Theresa Ploof. LaDonna attended Rochester Public Schools until moving to Austin with her family and graduating from Austin High School. On May 9, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert Hoffman. LaDonna was a member of Grace Baptist Church and worked for Hormel for a short time before quitting to be a homemaker. Her hobbies were helping her husband in his woodworking shop and gardening. She loved the outdoors, mowing the lawn and helping her neighbors. She would just be there to listen and visit with friends. When her children were small she would take them to A&W every Saturday. Her grandchildren were a huge part of her life. She took them shopping, had sleepovers and baked cookies for them. LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert. Survivors include her children: Brad Hoffman of Brainerd, Minnesota, Lynn Kinnear (Randy Cardwell) of Waite Park, Minnesota, grandchildren: Samantha Kinnear (Jon Williams) and Alex Kinnear all from Austin, sister Theresa Grover of Euless, Texas, brothers Berwyn Ploof of Austin and David Ploof (Patty) of Rapid City, South Dakota, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service for LaDonna Hoffman will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Faith Evangelical Free Church at noon, officiated by Pastor Gordon Larson.
