Kou Viramonh

Kou Viramonh, age 67, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Kou was born in Yougkam, Laos on October 3, 1956, to parents, Buntong and Khammone Khamvongsa. He graduated from high school in Laos. In 1980, he married Khamsavanh Soumponpackdy in Laos. The couple moved to the United States and began their family. Kou worked at various jobs in Austin including Hormel, QPP, and Austin Packaging. He loved fishing, camping, and biking around town. He enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens. He found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time with his family, walking his granddog, Cordage and spending time with his other granddog, Harlyn. Above all his greatest joy in life was making memories with his granddaughters, Tailyn and Ava.

Kou is survived by his wife, Khamsavanh Viramonh of Austin; daughters, Phanny Viramonh of Austin and Vilayvanh (Ryan) Miller of Waseca; son, Tony Viramonh of Austin; grandchildren, Tailyn Joy Kaput, and Ava LaVerne Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buntong and Khammone Khamvongsa; and nine siblings.
