Julie Corkill

Julie A. Corkill, age 61 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, March 26th, 2020, at Mayo Health System- St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota. Julie was born May 4th, 1958 in Austin, Minnesota to Rolland and Mary (Diekema) Finholdt. She married Terry M. Corkill on August 31st, 1990. She was a dedicated dispatcher at the Law Enforcement Center of Mower County for over 20 years and made many great friends. She loved baking and enjoyed watching the Twins baseball games. She also had a love for her dachshunds- Izzy, Rubee and Hunee. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends- especially around the holidays. Her deep love and caring nature was known by all who were fortunate enough to meet her. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Corkill of Austin, MN; daughter, Mallory Corkill of Austin, MN; step-daughter, Melissa Corkill; grandson, Dallas Shoden of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Clifford Finholdt of Austin, MN; sisters, Grace (Patti) Finholdt of FL, Susan (Kenny) Dunn of IL, Rosemary Finholdt of OH; sister-in-law, Joyce Finholdt of Austin, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Rolland and Mary Finholdt; brothers, Ronnie Finholdt, Robert Finholdt, James (Peggy) Finholdt; and sister Joyce (Finholdt) Prehn.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Crane Community Chapel in Austin. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
