Josephine Louise Dulitz, age 99 of Brownsdale, Minnesota, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, Minnesota. Josephine was born October 13, 1920 in Austin, Minnesota, to Robert and Bertha (Reinke) Dulitz. She lived in Brownsdale, Minnesota at the Legacy of Brownsdale (Assisted Living Facility) at the time of her death. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minnesota. Josephine lived on the Dulitz family farm with her parents, Robert and Bertha and her brother, Arnold until moving into Brownsdale. She was a wonderful care giver for many people during her life, including her parents until their passing. Josephine loved her church, puzzles, playing cards with friends, crocheting, watching “Wheel of Fortune,” gardening and canning. She made the best dill pickles!
Survivors include a niece, Rebecca (Mike) Panter of Charles City, IA; two nephews, Richard (Shirley) Dulitz of Mesa, AZ, Mark Dulitz of Mesa, AZ; cousins and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Carl and Bertha Alvine Dulitz; and brother, Arnold Wilhelm.
A private interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Waltham, Minnesota. A special thanks to Vicki Reid for all her efforts and help in the difficult time. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
