John E. Swenson

Another angel went home, John E. Swenson, age 69, of West Valley City, UT, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. John was born September 5, 1953, in Austin, Minnesota, to Carl and Nellie (Yeadon) Swenson. He worked for Triple A Engineering and Drafting out of Salt Lake City for many years, and then for Salt Lake City Bus Company, where he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, and helping people. John had a love of nature and cherished his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his siblings, Carol Mapes, Carl Swenson, Jr., Rose Avery, James Swenson, Louise Underhill, Ruth (George) Percival, and Susan (Dave) Kiefer; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special family in Utah, Elyn, Katt, and Gary Thompson and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nellie Swenson; sister, Vi (Dave) Klingfus; in-laws, Gary Mapes, Charlie Avery, and Bob Underhill; and four nieces.

Private family services will be held.
