John Dean Knudtson, age 21 of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at his home in New Prague, Minnesota. John was born December 4, 1998, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Joseph and Wendy (Miller) Knudtson. He enjoyed skateboarding, hanging out with friends, playing Magic card games, and video games, especially Call of Duty and Black Ops. John was an avid weapons expert and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved his Jeep, the movie Deadpool, art, and was a very talented drawer. John was very independent and proud; he would rarely ask for help. He could talk to anybody and was a big flirt. His favorite phrase when he would do something silly was, “Don’t judge me.” John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents, Joseph and Wendy Knudtson of Blooming Prairie, MN; sister, Skyla Knudtson of Blooming Prairie, MN; grandparents, Ben and Carol Miller. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raynold and Mavis Knudtson.
A private family service will be held at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home Chapel in Blooming Prairie. A small gathering of no more than 40 people will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie. Due to the COVID-19 protocol, we are requiring that everyone attending please wear a mask. Worlein Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie is assisting the family with arrangements.
