Jennifer "Jenny" Lyn Johnson

Jennifer “Jenny” Johnson, age 38, of Farmington, MN, passed away at her parents’ home in Prior Lake on August 7, 2023.  She is now with her Lord, Savior and best Friend.  Her faith in God was inspirational, second to none.  Jenny was born in Burnsville, MN to parents, Bruce and Susan (Bock) Johnson on January 14, 1985. In 2003, she graduated from Farmington High School and then attended the University of MN, Duluth where she majored in Exercise Science.  Several years later, she attended St. Mary’s University and earned her Master’s Degree in Education.  She began her teaching career at Cannon Falls Elementary School and later taught at McGuire Middle School in Lakeville.  In 2022, her career path took a different direction.  She left teaching and accepted the position of Campus Ministry Director of Campus Faith Clubs headquartered in Lakeville.  During this time period she created a faith based website called ‘Think Heavenly’ where she shared her heart and love for God’s word.  Jenny’s greatest joy in life was being a mom to her daughter, Jovi.  Their bond was exceptional.  A devoted mother, beloved daughter, sister, friend, teacher, mentor and dedicated child of God, Jenny’s spirit will carry on.  We will forever miss her, a beautiful soul inside and out.

Jenny is survived by her parents, Bruce and Susan Johnson of Prior Lake, MN; daughter, Jovi; brother, Jeff Johnson of Des Moines, IA; her lifelong best friend, Heather Johnson of Elko, MN and many other family members and valued friends.
