Jean Marie Gabriel

Jean Marie Gabriel, 72, of Blooming Prairie, passed away at her home on March 9^th, 2023.

Jean was born on April 12, 1950, in Blooming Prairie, to Arlen and Bernadine Peterson. She attended school in Blooming Prairie and married her high school sweetheart, Dan, in 1969 at First Lutheran Church. She started her career at the Mayo Clinic but found her passion as a daycare provider. Jean spent over 25 years providing care for children and was forever impacted by it, considering them all family. Jean enjoyed being outside, spending time on the family farm, boating on the Mississippi river with her family, and spending time with her friends referred to as the Yaya’s.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Ben (Becky), and Adam (Kate); grandchildren, Mary Grace, Kai, and Auggie; sisters, Carol (Dave), Marlys, and Barb; sister-in-law, Ann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlen and Bernadine; in-laws, Rev. John and Grace Gabriel; and brothers-in-law, Lad Roering and Bob Warren.

A private celebration of life is planned for Saturday, May 20^th at the Peterson family farm.
