Hung Doai Dinh

Hung Doai Dinh, age 78, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his home in Austin. Hung was born on January 1, 1945, in Vietnam to Tuan and Hue Dinh. In April of 1992, Hung left Vietnam and moved to Bataan, Philippines, for six months to learn about the American culture. He then traveled to California. In 1994, Hung moved to Connecticut for six years where he attended the seminary and received his Master of Theology and Divinity. Hung continued his mission of helping people and continued his journey to New Mexico in 2000. He served for churches in Clayton, New Mexico and Raton, New Mexico. Hung moved to Austin, MN, in 2005 when he fell in love with the city and decided to make it his home. He created a relationship with the Vietnamese community and devoted to helping them in any way he could. Hung even gifted his car to a Vietnamese family so they could travel. In 2015, Hung purchased a bike to travel around, and this was how he met his best friend, Mary Carney. He was a master of all trades, and his calling to help people was a gift from God. Hung enjoyed photography, cutting hair for others at Twin Towers, and he was known for his beautiful penmanship.

Hung is survived by many dear friends around the world.
