Harlan Thompson

Harlan Stanley Thompson, age 88 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at The Cedars of Austin. Harlan was born September 12, 1931, the son of Thorval and Mollie (Anderson) Thompson in Austin, Minnesota. He attended schools in Austin and was a lifelong Austin area resident. On October 16, 1956, he enlisted into the United States Army. Harlan farmed the family farm in the Moscow area until his retirement. He was a member of the Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church in rural, Austin. Harlan enjoyed fishing, music, and was a talented accordion and guitar player. Harlan loved his many dogs and cats who were faithful companions to him over the years. He also enjoyed trips to Austin to have lunch and visit with friends. Harlan will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Thorval and Mollie Thompson.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Austin, Minnesota. Services are prearranged and performed with Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.
