Gregory Allen Osborn

Gregory Allen Osborn, age 73, of Sargeant, Minnesota, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Greg was born on October 28, 1950, to Earl and Helen Osborn of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He went on to attend Dunwoody College to specialize in sheet metal and welding and received his continuing education from Ohio State University. Greg was a Certified Welding Inspector and worked with technical colleges as a welding educator. In his spare time, Greg was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed bow hunting, both big and small game. Greg also coached his boys in basketball and baseball and loved completing building projects of any kind. He could fix, make, or build just about anything. His home in Sargeant is a testimony of his skills.

Greg served in the US Army Reserve for 10 years. Greg was also a devout volunteer for Capable Partners, in which he would design and create devices for the handicap.

Greg is survived by his wife, Peggy Engelby; sons, Ryan Osborn and Justin (Kim) Osborn; brother, Bill (Pat) Osborn; sisters, Janice and Elsie; Peggy’s children, Michael Engelby and Angela (Dale) Strieter; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
