Gloria Olson

Gloria Matilda Olson, age 79, formerly of Austin, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Elm Springs Homes in Hartland, Minnesota. Gloria was born April 13, 1932 in Fillmore County, Minnesota to Thomas and Edna (Opsahl) Olson. She was baptized in Fillmore County and confirmed at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony, Minnesota. Survivors include her sister, Jarla Johnson, Rose Creek; brothers, Dwayne (Sharon) Olson, Austin, Verdon (Mona) Olson, Spring Grove; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edna Olson; brother-in-law, Darrell Johnson. Funeral services were held 11:00, Monday (today), December 19, 2011 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends called one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Elm Homes where Gloria resided. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
