Doris Flanders

Doris Mae Flanders, Age 87 of Austin, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie after a lengthy battle with cancer. Doris was born June 9, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mable and John Pipke. On August 8, 1953 she married Elders (Slim) Flanders. They lived in Austin. Doris retired from Land O' Lakes in Albert Lea in 1995. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, camping, fishing, and going to the casino. She is survived by her children; Les, Prescott, WI, Duane (Jennifer), Gilbert IA; Jimmy (Laura), Newport, MN, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elders (Slim) Flanders; Daughter Cindy Kauffman.
