Donald Adams

Donald F. Adams, age 94, of Austin passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011. Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII on Luzon and Leyte in the Philippines and in Japan. He worked at Hormel's in Austin for 36 years, retiring at 62 years of age. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Lillian; four sons, Gene (Pat), Ron (Jennie), Gary (Trish), Reno (Mary); sisters, Bonnie Grimm (Sonny), Juanita Arickz; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Adams and mother, Wilma Adams; brothers, Gene, Glen, Rene, Wayland, Dean; sisters, Winona Stroberg, Virginia Peronteau. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Glenn Monson officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #91. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
