Domenic Dante

Domenic J. “Nick” Dante Jr., 55, of Austin, died at Mayo Clinic Health System Austin on Sunday, October 12, 2014. He was born in Austin on August 18, 1959 to Domenic J. and Marie D. (Loecher) Dante. He attended a school that was designated for children with special needs. After he turned 18, he went to work for Cedar Valley in the packaging department. He had over 15 years of experience working there until his health declined recently. Nick loved all sports. He especially loved baseball, bowling and golf. He was also very artistic. He loved music and dancing. Nick was a very kind and friendly person and will be missed. Nick is survived by his sisters, Patricia Braun of Minneapolis and Donna (Dan) Daly of Delano; along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Steffes officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
