Diane Marie Aaby

Diane Marie (Adams) Aaby, age 72, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at White Pines Memory Care, Cottage Grove, Minnesota where she had resided for the past 5 months. Diane was born on April 14, 1951, to Laverne and Shirley (Thomas) Adams in Austin, Minnesota.  She attended Queen of Angels Grade School and Pacelli High School. On March 15, 1969, Diane was united in marriage to Ronald “Ron” Aaby in Brownsdale, Minnesota. The couple had two sons, Ashley and Aric and made their home in the Blooming Prairie area. Diane enjoyed reading, shopping and gardening. She loved her cats and dogs and would never turn away a stray. Most of all, Diane loved spending time with her family and friends.

Diane is survived by her sons, Ashley Aaby of Austin, Minnesota and Aric Aaby of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; siblings, Donald (Mona) Adams of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Debbie (Keith) Snyder of Austin, Darlene Edge of Austin, Donna Loverink of Albert Lea, Minnesota, David (Deb) Adams of Austin, Denise (Bob) Heimerman of Golden Valley, Minnesota, Danette (Jon) Nemitz of Austin; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Ron" in 2005; parents Laverne and Shirley Adams; parents in-law, Richard and Rosemary Aaby; brothers-in law, Raymond Aaby, Rick Aaby and Douglas Loverink; paternal grandparents, William and Magdlena (Fink) Adams; maternal grandparents, Forrest and Edna (Crilly) Thomas; Uncle and Aunt, Robert and Donna Thomas.

The memorial service for Diane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Mayer-Hoff Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota. Mayer-Hoff Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
