Devonne Ulwelling

DeVonne Eunice Ulwelling, age 65, died Thursday October 22, 2015 at her home in Austin. She was born September 7, 1950 in Blooming Prairie to Harold and Eunice (Ferrington) Gross. She grew up in Blooming Prairie, where she graduated from high school. On September 9, 1972 she married David Ulwelling in Austin. She attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Radiology. She worked at the Austin Medical Center as a Radiology Tech for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009. DeVonne was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, bird watching, and travelling, especially to Australia. Survivors include her husband David; her daughter Kristen Ulwelling, Plymouth; son Ryan (Hollie) Ulwelling, Apple Valley; son Michael Ulwelling, Austin; granddaughters Avery and Harper Ulwelling, Apple Valley; brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Dawn Gross, Blooming Prairie; nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter; grandson, Easton. Visitation: One hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Service: 11 am, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Memorials: To the American Diabetes Association.
