Dennihs Peter

Dennihs Peter, age 43, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Dennihs was born August 15, 1978, in the Federated States of Micronesia, Pohnpei, to Ioanis and Emely (Jim) Peter. Her childhood years were spent in Micronesia, where she attended kindergarten through 9th grade at Calvary Christian Academy. After school she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she worked at Aloha Gas Station for 8 years. In 2015, she moved to Austin, Minnesota and started working for Hormel Foods. Dennihs enjoyed going out to eat, playing volleyball, and listening to gospel music. She also loved to cook, especially homemade donuts. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Emely Peter of Pohnpei; five children, Ivan Peter of Austin, MN, Tristan Malakai of Austin, MN, Penisha Malakai of Austin, MN, Annika Malakai of Austin, MN, Mayden Peter of Austin, MN; three grandchildren, Tiara Peter, Dennlain Peter, and Razu Peter; seven sisters; and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her father, Ioanis Peter in 2013.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation will take place from 10:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
