Darlene King

Darlene Eugenia King, age 89 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Mary’s Campus.  Darlene was born the only child to Marvin & Lillian (Katson) Monson on November 17, 1930.  She graduated from Austin High School in 1948 and worked as an accountant and CPA her entire life.  Darlene worked both in Los Angeles, California, as well as in Austin.  Darlene had a unique and passionate hobby of collecting paperweights.  She was also a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church Austin and loved crocheting as well as crossword puzzles.

Darlene is survived by her very loving daughter, Barbara Nelson of Austin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Lillian Monson.

No services will be held  at this time. Interment has taken place in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
