Daniel Goldman

Daniel G. Goldman, age 63 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 20, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus, surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born on May 31, 1955 in Austin, Minnesota, to Leonard and Betty (Hendrickson) Goldman. He grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1973. On October 22, 1983, Daniel married Janet Weinmann at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. Together they raised one son, Eric. Daniel worked at Hormel Foods for 34 years in Research and Developments. He retired in December of 2018. He was a long-time member of the Eagles Club in Austin, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, enjoyed social media, and grilling out with friends and family. Daniel was also an avid sports fan, he loved the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Goldman of Austin, Minnesota; son, Eric Goldman of Austin, Minnesota; one brother, David (Janice) Goldman of Sparta, Wisconsin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Barb) Weinmann of Longville, Minnesota, Lee (Janice) Weinmann of Laporte, Minnesota, Mary (Gene) Moffatt of Laporte, Minnesota, Michael (Shelly) Weinmann of Austin, Minnesota, Earl Weinmann of Northfield, Minnesota, Joanne (Joe) Baldus of Austin, Minnesota, Shirley (Jim) Marx of Laporte, Minnesota, Tim Weinmann of Austin, Minnesota, Amy Weinmann of Bemidji, Minnesota; aunt, Velma Vick of Austin, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Betty Goldman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
