Daniel B. Engelman, age 42 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly Friday May 15, 2020, at his home. Daniel Engelman was born on May 30, 1977 in Austin, Minnesota, to Tom and Wanda (Bowe) Engelman. He was a lifelong Austin resident. Daniel was a part of an all-star softball team. He enjoyed playing hockey, hacky-sack, and loved fishing. Daniel enjoyed many outdoor activities, with the exception of golf. He enjoyed spending time with his boys most of all. He was known as being a joker and had an infectious smile, that would light up a room. Without a beard, many said Daniel resembled a cabbage patch kid, due to his big dimples and baby face. Daniel will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Wanda Engelman; his two sons, Conner and Liam Engelman; brother, Pete Engelman; sister, Amy Engelman; many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice and William Bowe; paternal grandparents, Betty and Marion Engelman; cousin, Penny Engelman; uncles, Dave Engelman, Tim Engelman, Frank Dennison, and Larry Ingersoll; aunt, Mary Dennison.
Private family services at a later date. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
