Charlotte M. Ruhter, age 81 of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. Charlotte Marie Ditlevson was born to Chester and Helma (Jensen) Ditlevson on October 18, 1938, in Owatonna, Minnesota. She graduated from Waseca Agricultural High School. Charlotte then went on to attend business college in Minneapolis. She worked various places in Rochester, Minnesota and then retired with Mayo Clinic. On July 11, 1958, Charlotte married Chasper Ruhter at the First Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Charlotte was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida, and a past member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rochester for 55 years. She had an amazing green thumb and a talent for making anything grow. She loved being able to work in her garden, tending to her flowers. Charlotte was also a great cook and loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Chasper Ruhter of Sebring, Florida; son, James (Laura) Ruhter of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter, CaSandra (Timothy) Turri of Rochester, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Kaye DeBoer of Hickory, North Carolina, Barbara (David) Drache of Sun City, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Helma Ditlevson; and brother-in-law, Burton DeBoer.
Services have been postponed till a later date. Worlein Funeral Home of Blooming Prairie is assisting the family with arrangements.
