Charles "Chuck" Slowinski, 86, of Brownsdale, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield. He was born in Armstrong, IA on August 6th, 1932 to John and Stella (Syzmerick) Slowinski. Born in Iowa, his family moved to Minnesota when he was a child. As a youth Chuck spent time with his brothers and thrived in participating in 4H with his cattle. In his adult years he farmed ground in the Sargeant, Brownsdale and Waltham areas wih his brother and son. After retirement Chuck enjoyed spending time on the farm with his children and grandchildren. He would be seen on a daily basis driving the country side watching the farmers in the fields and having coffee with his friends. His Catholic faith was an important part of his life. Charles is survived by his son, Steven (Denise) Slowinski of Byron, MN and grandchildren Camryn and Courtney: Daughter Lori Lyson (Slowinski) of Fargo, ND and grandchildren Chastity (Jeff) Linnertz, Stephanie Knutilla, Nicole (Jason) Jordahl, Matthew Milbrett, Michael Milbrett and Mitchell Milbrett: Son Chuck (Onalee) Slowinski of Mapleton, MN and grandchildren Breanna (Adam) Drummer, Nathan Slowinski: brothers Anthony (Patricia) Slowinski of Austin and Paul (Barbara) Slowinski of Owatonna, along with great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Rose Comer, Wallace, Frank, Joseph, Henry and Victor Slowinski. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Visitation will be at the church an hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com
