Carl Norman Pink, age 75, of Austin, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Prairie Manor in Blooming Prairie. Carl was born September 25, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Carl and Jeanette (Lehmann) Pink. He grew up in St. Paul and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Carl was also in the Naval Air Reserve. On January 27, 1968 he married Charolette O’Leary at St. Luke’s Church in St. Paul. The couple moved to Austin in the 80’s. Carl worked at Compu Tax in the cities during the winter months. He also worked for Austin Park and Recreation and at Watt’s Cookin as a cook for many years. Music was a large part of Carl’s life. He played guitar and mandolin. Carl was part of several groups: Stillhouse Dwellers, The 4 of Us, Sunny Side Up, and the Newman Church Group. He is survived by his wife, Charolette O’Leary-Pink, Austin, MN; son, Sean Pink, Austin, MN; brother, Ed Pink, Osseo, MN; sister, Jan (Pink) Maker, Cambridge, MN; nieces and nephews.
