Obituary

Adry Allan ‘Al’ Eastman, age 75 of Hollandale, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home.  He was born March 11, 1943 in Taopi, Minnesota to Clyde and Lillian (Teigen) Eastman, and grew up in various communities in SE Minnesota.  Al entered military service in the United States Army on April 13, 1960 and served his country until his honorable discharge on April 12, 1963.  He returned home and married his first wife Jeanette. They were blessed with 2 sons, and later divorced.  In 1975 Al married Sharon Swancutt at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.  Al worked in the trucking industry and was employed for many years by Commercial Services Trucking, retiring in 2004.  He enjoyed spending his free time camping, fishing with his grandchildren, deer hunting, and flower and vegetable gardening.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons Wayne Eastman of Hollandale, MN and Tad (Kathy Lange) Eastman of Austin, MN, step-daughter Kimberly (Brian) Kalis of Alden, MN; 7 grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Sarah, Kayla, Nathan, Lia, and Hunter; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Curt, Marlys, and Bev; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Al was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Sharon in 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Niethammer officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Worlein Funeral Home.  Interment with military honors by VFW Post #1216 and American Legion Post #91 will be in Grandview Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
